Short background:
    Apprenticed to the household fool of the Notelyle family, Esahr saw his future crumble to dust as Alcest's parents lost everything up to and including their ability to support any sort of retainers. Now Esahr finds himself without a place in the world. At a loss as to what to do with himself, or perhaps just clinging to the remnants of his dashed hopes, he now follows Alcest around and vacillates between trying to be helpful and mooning about.
