Reason you want to join: I personally see LiF as a fulfillment of what I loved from open-world games like UO and SWG, a game where it isn't about instant gratification, but what you can accomplish over time with other roleplayers. Roleplaying and LiF seem interwoven to me and I think the premise of this server fits the bill for me.
Do you have any RP experience? I've been in and ran RP Communities in UO, SWG, WoW, SWTOR, and STO to name a few. I have a great deal of experience in Tabletop and have been roleplaying for well over a decade.
